Statement of Faith
Our Mission
We exist to glorify God by communicating the gospel of grace through teaching, authentic worship, community and acts of mercy in Middle Tennessee, equipping maturing followers to lovingly serve our community and the nations.
Core Values: We believe…
1. The Gospel
We desire to be a Gospel centered church
The message of the gospel is that Christ has done everything necessary to bring us into a relationship with God. The Gospel alone is sufficient for every opportunity, every failure and every challenge. For this reason we must intentionally apply the gospel to every situation we face. It is sufficient to restore broken relationships between God and man as well as between man and man.
2. The Reformed Faith
We desire to communicate Reformed faith in a winsome manner
The ministry at Trinity is driven by our theological convictions. We are committed to the study of God as expressed by the teachings of the Reformed faith. This is simply the Biblical faith that speaks clearly of the Sovereignty of God and His faithfulness as our Covenant God. It equips us to look at every area of life from a Christian perspective.
3. Authentic Worship
We desire to be a church marked by authentic worship.
We believe that the natural response to a deepening understanding of the Gospel is worship. Worship is the result of the transforming presence of Christ at work in the life of the church and the believer. Worship connects us to the past historically but also points us forward to the future with a genuineness that reflects an ongoing and deepening relationship with Jesus through His gospel.
4. Kingdom-Focused Prayer
We desire to be a church committed to dependent, kingdom focused prayer.
The gospel convinces us that we are helpless apart from Christ. Prayer is a great means of grace through which God pours out His blessings to His people. A congregation marked by committed individual and corporate prayer is a congregation focused on the advancement of the kingdom of God.
5. Biblical Community
We desire to be a church committed to the development Life changing community within our fellowship
In the gospel God calls us to community. The Bible knows nothing of people seeking to live the Christian life in isolation. Community is developed within the church through smaller groups of believers meeting together regularly for times of worship, study, prayer, accountability and joyous fellowship.
6. A Missional Church
We desire to be a missional church.
A missional church is a church that does not simply participate in missions on an occasional basis but a church that sees every activity contributing to the advancement of God’s kingdom both locally and cross-culturally. The call of the gospel will have a personal and global impact as we seek to extend the gospel wherever God gives opportunity. There will be opportunities to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every race, tribe, tongue, and people group. Trinity seeks to bring mercy, justice, and the love of Christ to by co-laboring with ministers of the gospel cross-culturally and internationally.
